Retail & hospitality case study
Karndean herringbone in the bar, a patterned Calderdale carpet in the restaurant, Altro behind the bar and artificial grass outside.

The Talbot is a character village pub in Belbroughton, with exposed beams, a brick fireplace and a large beer garden. Adapt Flooring supplied and fitted the floors from the beer garden through to the bar, the restaurant, the back bar and the upstairs flat.
Outside, we laid artificial grass in shaped areas between the existing paving and up to the raised deck, giving the beer garden a clean, low-maintenance finish.

Front of house we laid Karndean Art Select herringbone LVT through the bar, extended it into the bottom bar, and ran it cleanly around the timber-panelled bar counter.
In the restaurant we supplied and fitted a patterned Calderdale Spirit carpet, seamed on site and laid over 42oz underlay, set against the blue panelling and the brick.

Behind the bar and glasswash and in the disabled toilet we installed Altro safety flooring, coved up the wall at the back bar, and overlaid the chiller floor with Altro Walkway, giving staff a slip-resistant, easy-clean surface. Floors were prepared with liquid DPM, smoothing screed and 6mm plywood where needed, for a sound, level base under each finish.

The staircase is finished with Quantum nosings, and a brass trim closes the change from herringbone to carpet.
