Coved and rubber skirting.

Sealed, hygienic junctions. The detail that passes inspections.

Polysafe Quattro safety flooring coved at the wall, meeting a vinyl-lined wall, in an en-suite at Cefn Carnau Hospital

Sealed where floor meets wall.

The junction between floor and wall is where hygiene is tested. Coved skirting carries the floor covering up the wall in one sealed, easy-clean curve: no crevices, no failed silicone joints, nothing for an infection-control audit to flag.

It's a specialist detail that demands experienced hands, and one we fit across healthcare and catering work alongside our safety flooring. We also fit traditional rubber skirting where a clean commercial finish is the goal.

What goes into a sealed junction.

  1. Fit a cove former behind the radius, so the curve is supported and holds its shape against mops and trolleys.
  2. Form the sheet up the wall in one piece, with internal and external corners cut and welded.
  3. Cap the top edge with a strip that finishes cleanly against the wall.
  4. Heat-weld the seams, so floor and skirting read as one continuous surface.
